Heeyyy!! Hope your week is off to a great start. If you’re on the struggle bus, here is something to take your mind off of the stress and focus on the summer months for a few minutes. Let’s talk about the super popular must-have summer bags that are the huge trend for this spring and summer. I am loving the wicker/straw handbags this season. They come in so many different shapes and sizes and I think they are the perfect accessory to any outfit.
You can accessorize them for every occasion: a fancy dinner, baby/bridal showers, a day shopping around town or a day on the beach. There is literally a straw hand bag for it all!
I picked out a few of my favorites to share in this blog post with y’all to show you how versatile these bags can be.
I love this square one from Forever 21 with the white strap because I think it would be perfect with a dress for dinner, no matter if your wearing heels, wedges or flats with that dress! The long white strap gives it a little fancier look than just a straw bag you wear on your arm.
This rounded bag is absolutely perfect for a beach day. It’s big enough to fit some sunscreen, a book, sunglasses, water bottle, iPad/tablet, your phone, and a pair of flip flops for the beach. Yet it’s small enough that it won’t become a pain to carry across the beach. Perfect size and compliments any swimsuit! I also love this version of a similar bag from Red Dress Boutique. My favorite part is the handle. The diamond shape gives the bag a different look than other bags I’ve seen.
These round wicker bags are everything! They look so cute for a day out on the town, or a brunch/lunch with friends. It would look cute with shorts & a tank or a maxi/shift dress.
These bamboo bags are also a huge hit this season & to be honest, I JUST tried this one out. It was a little out of my comfort zone but I really really like it! It’s such a different look and I love that it adds a bold statement to an outfit. I was surprised at how much stuff I was actually able to fit in it too! I’m not one to usually do something bold with an outfit, but if you know me well, you know part of the reason I started this blog was to challenge myself to grow out of my comfort zone, and that means trying new things. This is definitely one of those choices where I’m glad I tried something new.
I couldn’t leave out this little munchkin. When I went on the hunt for bags to discuss in this post, she found this little bag that goes similar with all the others and I couldn’t pass it up. It’s so adorable and just her size! Naturally, she needed one just like mommy so we ended up with this in the basket too! haha! I love watching her grow into her own little personality!
So if you don’t have a summer bag similar to these in your closet yet, but your looking for something versatile and new to accessorize with this spring/summer, I highly recommend any of these bags! You will definitely get great use out of them & lots of compliments too!
