How I Stay Organized While Packing
Hope everyone has started off to a great week. I wanted to do a quick blog post on some great finds that I used to pack when we traveled for our Disney trip back in March. With summer in full swing, there are so many people traveling, especially for the 4th of July. If I can help at least 1 person pack an organized suitcase, then this blog post was worth it! If there is anyone who struggles packing for a trip it’s me! Burt is always complaining that I have too many suitcases, they’re too heavy and the stuff inside of them is never organized. He even laughed when I told him I was writing a blog post about this, haha! 🤣 But I mean……you can never pack too many outfits, a girl needs choices! Right?
So after some research, I found a couple items to try and help stay slightly more organized this time. When we traveled to Disney, we decided to fly , so I knew the suitcase limit had to be under 50 pounds. The airlines always throw your luggage around so to make sure everything didn’t get mixed up or spill I used these packing cubes! They are amazing at keeping your clothes organized. They come in different sizes and you can buy them in packs. I chose to try a pack that had all large cubes because I planned to only put my clothes in them. They worked out so much better than I could have imagined. Everything stayed organized and I knew exactly which cube each item of clothing was in. These are definitely a must and I highly recommend!
I used this clear case for makeup storage/organization. This case is great because it’s clear so you can see every bit of make up that you bring. It also holds more make up than you would think. The smaller case inside is perfect for your foundation, mascara, liner, lippies, blush & other accessories. If you are a person who wears minimal makeup, the case on the inside would be perfect for jewelry too! It’s has a spot on the side for your face wash, makeup brushes, and palettes as well! What more could you ask for in a makeup case?
The next thing I used with me on the trip was this adorable cream checkered bag. Its a #1 best seller on Amazon and it is so cute and versatile. It’s perfect to put all of your toiletries in, such as face wash, makeup remover wipes, shampoo, conditioner, dry shampoo etc. I mostly put things that had a slight chance of spilling because the inside is super easy to wipe clean. I usually keep this in my car with extra makeup, dry shampoo, hair spray, some perfume & a brush. We live about 20 mins outside the city so sometimes if I’m not able to make it back home before our next activity I like to keep these things with me to freshen up! This case is a perfect size to store all of those things in one spot!
This next little case right here, I am in love with! It comes in a few different sizes. Since I already had a makeup case to travel with I bought the smaller size to use if I’m staying somewhere for just 1-2 nights. One of my friends owns the bigger case and it is ah-mazing! You’re able to switch around each little compartment to make it whatever size you need it to be. This little feature makes it so versatile for carrying different items! Im super impressed with the quality as well. !
Also, don’t forget this awesome little scale to help you see how much your bag weighs before you get to the airport. The worst feeling is when your at the airport, checking in during all the madness and you put your bag on the scale only to find out your 2 pounds over the limit! That’s usually the moment when I start ripping things out of my suit case and shoving them in my husbands haha! With this little scale, you never have to worry about that because you can weigh your bag at home! This has helped us avoid all the airport drama.
